As part of our Diocesan Jubilee Day, held in September at Cardinal Hume Catholic School, attendees were encouraged to bring a donation to help support a number of local projects.

· Mary’s Place, Newcastle

· Joe’s Place, Gateshead

· Diocesan Refugee Project

· Stella Maris

Staff in the Diocesan Curia Offices also donated items to support the social action element of the Year of Jubilee.

Kind donations ranged from tins of food, biscuits, toiletries, warm clothing and hats, sleeping bags and suitcases – the response was overwhelming.

The donations were split according to the different needs of the four projects and recently delivered to very grateful project co-ordinators.

Thank you for your support.
