The DDfE School Commission work includes Catholic School Inspection, leadership support and development, governance, school admissions, recruitment of Catholic leaders, staffing, oversight and monitoring of Catholic Education Trusts, and estates management. This work ensures that schools are correctly led and managed, that staff of quality are employed and developed, and that school buildings are places that are suitable for the provision of high-quality education.

The new National Framework for Catholic School Inspection will be introduced from September 2022. We are currently recruiting inspectors and offering training for school staff and governors.
