Admissions and Appeals

Admissions

The Diocesan Guidance on Admission to Catholic Schools shares information provided by the Diocese to support admission authorities in discharging their responsibilities. It provides guidance about the construction of admission arrangements and Diocesan requirements in relation to membership and practice of the Catholic faith to which all Catholic school within the Diocese must have regard.

Diocesan guidance on admissions (September 2017) is available here.

Information relating to the School Admission Code is available here.

Further information on school admissions is available on the DfE website.

Parish Boundaries

A Diocesan Boundaries Committee was established to support the process of mapping parish boundaries across the Diocese. This led to a period of consultation with parishes, schools and the Council of Priests.

The maps produced will assist our Diocesan schools with the implementation of the admissions guidance above and where necessary former parish boundaries are shown where a school admissions policy requires this.
