Sixth formers from five Newcastle secondary schools came together to discuss their prospects as future Oxford and Cambridge undergraduates, at an annual education trust event.

A group of Newcastle students put their beliefs into action as they took up roles promoting their school’s caring ethos.

Students in Fenham were transported to the magical world of Narnia when Sacred Heart Catholic High School celebrated World Book Day today (6 March). English teachers at the school, a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, arrived for the day dressed as characters from the classic CS Lewis stories, which relate the adventures of four siblings who venture through a secret wardrobe door into a fantasy winter wonderland.
