An introductory course, over six sessions, which helps new Liturgical Leaders of Celebrations of the Word and Holy Communion to begin learning about this ministry. Please note that participants must attend all sessions to be commissioned in this ministry.
Parish priests are invited to indicate if they would like to send participants to the course.
The programme consists of six sessions:
Venue: St Hilda’s Diocesan Resource Centre, West Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE15 7PY.
- Session 1: Tuesday 13 May 2025 (Evening session) 7.00 – 9.00pm
- Session 2: Tuesday 20 May 2025 (Evening session) 7.00 – 9.00pm
- Session 3: Tuesday 27 May 2025 (Evening session) 7.00 – 9.00pm
- Session 4: Tuesday 3 June 2025 (Evening session) 7.00 – 9.00pm
- Session 5: Saturday 14 June 2025 (Day session) 10.00am – 3.00pm*
- Session 6: Tuesday 17 June 2025 (Evening session) 7.00 – 9.00pm (to include a Commissioning Service)
*Participants to bring their own packed lunch for the day event – tea and coffee provided.
Cost: £30 per participant.
