Every person in our Diocesan family brings unique gifts, given by the Holy Spirit, to help make God’s love visible in the world with volunteering in the Catholic Church being a response to God’s call and an expression of our baptismal mission. Volunteers in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle are co-responsible for the Church’s ministry of service, evangelisation, and community life.
The Department for Formation & Mission is celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving for the service and ministry for our team of volunteers and wishes to extend this invitation to other volunteers in our diocese. This Mass is being jointly celebrated with the Department of Education, Trusts and Schools – in thanksgiving for the many communities of our Diocesan Family – with one of our schools leading the liturgical music.
