Feast of the Douai Martyrs – Thursday 30th October:
Mass will be celebrated in St. Cuthbert’s Chapel at Ushaw at 12.30pm, and the principal celebrant will be Mgr. John Marsland, President of Ushaw.
Everyone is very welcome to attend, and no ticket is needed.
A light lunch of soup and bread is available after the Mass, at a cost of £6.

The Feast of the Douai Martyrs is one of the most important in Ushaw’s calendar. Throughout Ushaw’s history, the students and staff preserved the memory of the martyrs, those who trained at the College at Douai, and who gave their lives for the Catholic faith as priests ministering to the Catholic population of England during the centuries when it was illegal to practise the faith.
