The Feast of St. Cuthbert, patron of our Diocese, falls on 20th March.
St. Cuthbert is also the patron of Ushaw and this March, Ushaw is celebrating the life and legacy of Cuthbert, one of the North East’s most loved saints, with services and events in the week around the Feast Day.
You are invited to Ushaw to join in with any or all of these events:

Alumni ‘Welcome Back’ Day
A chance to reconnect, share stories, revisit old haunts and reflect on all that Ushaw has meant — and continues to mean — to so many. We’ll also be launching the new “cat” season with a fresh team of young enthusiasts, carrying the story forward for a new generation. Come back, look around and feel at home again.
Tuesday 24th March
Evensong in Thanksgiving for St Cuthbert, 6pm
Join us for a beautiful ecumenical service of Choral Evensong as we’re joined by the Hexham & Newcastle Diocesan Choir. Psalms, scripture and soaring choral music will accompany us as we gather at day’s end to pray, reflect, and give thanks in the peace of the chapel. All are warmly welcome.
