As part of the Year of Jubilee 2025, Pope Francis has called us to consider how we are Pilgrims of Hope in today’s world.
The Jubilee of Teenagers will be celebrated on 25 – 27 April, and the Minutes of Hope website has been collating videos showing the hope our faith can bring to the world today.
The latest videos can be viewed at https://minutesofhope.com/.
We remember Pope Francis’s message to young people for the fifth anniversary of the post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation “Christus Vivit“,
“I repeat this to each of you individually: Christ is alive and he loves you with an infinite love. His love for you is unaffected by your failings or your mistakes. He gave his life for you, so in his love for you he does not wait for you to be perfect. Look at his arms outstretched on the cross, and “let yourself be saved over and over again”. Walk with him as with a friend, welcome him into your life and let him share all the joys and hopes, the problems and struggles of this time in your lives. You will see that the path ahead will become clearer and that your difficulties will be much less burdensome, because he will be carrying them with you. So pray daily to the Holy Spirit who “draws you ever more deeply into the heart of Christ, so that you can grow in his love, his life and his power”.
Teenagers today face lots of things on a daily basis, but through their enthusiasm and passion, they bring hope to the future of the Church.
“We cannot begin anew without you, dear young people. If our world is to arise, it needs your strength, your enthusiasm, your passion.” Pope Francis, in his letter to young people on the 36th World Youth Day (2021).
In this Year of Jubilee, we are called to celebrate hope and where it may be for others.
If you’ve got a story, testimony or example you want to share then upload a clip to the Minutes of Hope project, and it will help inspire hope in those who see it during the year of Jubilee and beyond.
