SVP Newcastle Deaf Centre is set to re-launch as part of Deaf Awareness Week 2023. The event will promote public conversation about deaf inclusion and offer a series of inspirational TED talks to create awareness about the perspective of deafness.

The day will begin with school visits from 10.00am to 2.00pm. The SVP Newcastle Deaf Centre hopes that these visits will inspire students to become more inclusive and understanding of deaf people in their communities (download poster here).

Following the school visits, an Adult Networking Event will take place at the SVP Newcastle Deaf Centre on 2 Summerhill Grove, NE4 6EE, from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm. The event will feature a buffet and bar, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for attendees to connect and learn more about the centre’s mission.

The re-launch of the SVP Newcastle Deaf Centre is a fantastic opportunity to promote public conversation about deaf inclusion and raise awareness of the challenges that deaf people face. The centre hopes to see many members of the community attend the event and learn more about their work and the deaf community as a whole (download poster here).
