As we continue to cope with the cost-of-living crisis where inflation has remained high, food prices continue to rise, and household bills are at their highest, more and more stories come from our support centres about the increasing needs and rising inequality in their communities. Building on the success of last year’s Christmas appeal and having received such positive feedback from our donors and supporters, the SVP launched this year’s Christmas appeal on World Kindness Day (13 November), and it will run until 12 January 2025.

Funds for our two Diocesan centres (SVP Deaf Centre and St Vincent’s Centre, Blackfriars) centres help them keep open their doors of hope, providing comfort and friendship all year round to isolated individuals, promoting dignity and self-worth by offering free or affordable access to food and essential clothing, and providing guidance and support in key areas such as debt relief.
