The Mini Police at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Newton Aycliffe have been helping promote the town’s Christmas Extravaganza! The students have been selling raffle tickets and doing a bucket collection to raise money for the community spirit and the Newton Aycliffe Police Appeal. Additionally, half of the proceeds raised is gifted back to the school.
St Mary’s set a target of selling 1,000 tickets so we could raise £500 for outdoor play and learning equipment. So far, we have sold in excess of 1,100 tickets, and we have raised £280 in the bucket collection.
