Minsteracres Retreat Centre have announced details of their latest retreats taking place in May and August 2024. You will find details below of various residential retreats we have on offer in the coming months.

Founded in Italy in 1720, the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ, “The Passionists”, have a special ministry to promote the Memory of the Passion of Jesus by both word and deed for the Passion of Jesus is truly the greatest story of God’s love for humanity and His creation.

In 2024, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the first Passionists at Minsteracres.

An opportunity to refresh your batteries and contemplate nature with a friendly group, we welcome guests of all faiths and none, this Passionist retreat centre is set in 110 acres of gardens, countryside and woodland, featuring an alley of 200 year-old Californian giant redwood trees on the border of Northumberland and County Durham.

With vistas across the Tyne valley to the Cheviots, the 14 acres of woodland in north Durham, established more than 200 years ago by former owners the Silvertop family, contains several rare mature conifers and deciduous trees, hybrid rhododendrons and remnants of ancient woodland and is a natural wildlife habitat.
