Minsteracres are delighted to introduce their Retreat Programme for 2023, centred on their Passionist Charisms of Prayer, Hospitality and the Environment. Their announcement continues:

These charisms form the central spirituality of Minsteracres and upon which our forthcoming retreats are founded. This retreat programme holds a wide range of retreat opportunities ranging from musicality to Marian, creative poetry to philosophy, from prayer and contemplation to reflective walking, taking in our spectacular Northumberland area.

We welcome for the first time an exclusive Men’s Retreat, facilitated by the national organisation of St Joseph’s Men, there is also a ‘Laudato Si’ retreat which, joining with CAFOD, reflects upon the Encyclical calling us to develop eco-friendly strategies for community life.

We welcome a beautiful Healing Retreat in April by Fr David Marsden, alongside a Marian Retreat calling us to question ‘Who is Mary?’ led by Fr Louis Maggiore. Musically, we are delighted to offer our ‘Music of the Hours‘ retreat in Late January, which still has places available and led by the renowned Euan Tait and Dominic McGonigal.

Additionally, we offer liturgical themed retreats (Holy Week, Pentecost and Advent), poetry and reflective prayer using the medium of photography and imagery, led by Celine Alexander-Brown, alongside Circle Dance, Taizé and reflections on the musicality of Estelle White. We are also introducing a day retreat aimed specifically those who share our Hospitality charism, an opportunity to peek behind the scenes and discover the spirituality of hospitality as a meaningful and much needed vocation.

We are thrilled to welcome the very well established Sion Community who will be facilitating a retreat in June on ‘Life in the Spirit’ and also author and founder of the Host Apostolate, Halina Holman, who will be facilitating a retreat on ‘Contemporary Saints and their Teachings‘. Finally, we have the Ignatian Centre of Spirituality facilitating individually guided retreats, Chris Smith returns with a Day of Consolation in May, as does Terry Doyle with his very popular contemplative retreat in September.

In our excitement, it is impossible to cover them all, so we will leave you to peruse our programme for yourself, which you can find here.
