Following on from Archbishop McMahon’s pastoral letter, we would like to invite you to one of our initial listening spaces.
The purpose of these gatherings is to allow space to hear the impact of Bishop Robert’s resignation and the Safeguarding Enquiry report.
These listening spaces will be facilitated by Karen Kilby, who will be feeding back to Archbishop McMahon. A liturgy of healing will be available at each of the spaces for those who wish to stay and partake.
We appreciate that people from all across the diocese may want and need to be heard and we are exploring multiple methods to enable this.
We have heard feedback about the choice of locations and have included a fourth venue in Newcastle.
- Monday 10 July: St Mary’s RC Church hall, Forest Hall, Newcastle NE12 7AB.
- Tuesday 11 July: St Bede’s RC Church hall, Bedlington NE22 5TZ.
- Wednesday 12 July: St Michael RC Church hall, Houghton-Le-Spring. DH5 8NF.
- Thursday 13 July: English Martyrs and Ss Peter & Paul’s, Stockton-on-Tees TS19 9BY.
Meetings start at 7.00pm prompt. No booking required.
