As part of the diocesan year of the Eucharist, the Justice and Peace Co-ordinating Council will be offering via zoom a morning of reflection on Saturday April 9th from 10.30am to 12.30 pm on the theme of “Finding Christ in the Eucharist”.
The morning of the event aims to widen our understanding of the connection between the Eucharist, food justice and the ecological crisis. We will explore how we are nourished by the Eucharist and how we are invited to nourish others and the whole of creation. Fr. Chris Hughes will be the speaker and there will be an opportunity for sharing. It is a free event but please register for tickets HERE
Diocesan Environment Group
We thank those members of the Justice and Peace Co-ordinating Council who, as part of the Diocesan Environment Group have worked over the last 15 months on the revision of the diocesan Environment and Social Justice policy. We pray that the diocese will, in the spirit of Laudato Si and Fratelli Tutti, lead on the environmental and social justice so needed in this time of ecological and social crisis.
Our prayer vigils continue at the gates to Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre DH8 6QY at 3pm on the first Sunday of each month. For more information, please contact email@example.com
