With the announcement by the Prime Minister on Wednesday 22 May to call a general election, which will be held on Thursday 4 July 2024, you may be seeking information on the matters that are important to you as a Christian. The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales (CBCEW) have gathered together some resources for Catholics on a variety of topics.

These resources can be found through their website on a special page for the general election and covers the following topics:

Registering to vote

Please note, if you haven’t registered to vote in the general election, you must do so by 23.59 on Tuesday 18 June 2024. If you are eligible, you can do so here: gov.uk/register-to-vote.
