Staff and pupils at a Walbottle school welcomed friends, family and the local community to their annual summer celebration, which included a range of stalls, refreshments, and different children’s activities.

Over 200 people attended St Cuthbert’s Summer Fair, which was organised by the Friends of St Cuthbert’s and took place on Friday 28 June at St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School.

One pupil was selling hand-made ‘Loom bands’ to raise money for the school, while St Cuthbert’s Head Girl and Boy ran a stall with pre-loved uniforms for sale.

Alongside refreshments, other stalls offered cakes, gifts, sweets, and toys, while there was also a traditional tombola, as well as a host of games to play.

Events like this help to bring our community together and raise funds for the school,” said Colette Barrett, Headteacher at St Cuthbert’s which is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust.
