Fr Joseph Park RIP

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Fr Joseph Park on 16 May 2022.

Please remember Fr Joseph in your prayers and pray for the repose of his soul.

Fr Joseph’s body will be received into St Joseph’s, Stanley at 7.00pm on Tuesday 7 June and Mass will be celebrated.

Bishop Robert Byrne CO will celebrate his Requiem Mass at St Joseph’s, Stanley on Wednesday 8 June at 12.00 noon. The Mass will be followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium, Dipton.

May he rest in peace.

Death Notice

Father Joseph Park died on 16 May 2022; he was 85 years of age. You are asked to remember him in your prayers.

Father Joseph was ordained to the priesthood on 12 June 1965. He has faithfully served the people of our Diocese in the following parishes:

Curate:

Brooms: Our Lady and St Joseph, September 1965 – August 1966

Professor:

Darlington: St Mary’s School, September 1966 – July 1984

Parish Priest:

South Moor: St Mary’s, September 1984 – September 1986
Stanley: St Joseph’s, September 1986 – August 2014
(and Annfield Plain & Dipton from September 2011)
