Thousands of Christians have converged on London to stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in communities around the world being hit hardest by the climate crisis and demand the government stops supporting the very fossil fuels that are causing that crisis.

The activities began for many when joining CAFOD on Friday at St John’s Church, Waterloo, London, together with friends from Christian Aid and other Christian groups to pray for leaders to take the action we need to tackle the climate emergency and declare we have no faith in fossil fuels.

Walking together on a short pilgrimage to Parliament, where they joined thousands of other people calling for fossil fuels to be consigned to history. Activities around Parliament were organised by Extinction Rebellion as part of ‘The Big One‘ – a huge moment where people from across the country came to Westminster to peacefully and lawfully demand action to end the climate crisis.
