As part of their work and celebration of Laudato Si’ Week, Carmel College in Darlington hosted a screening of The Letter on behalf of the Diocesan Environmental Group.

This powerful film tells the story of a journey to Rome of frontline climate leaders to discuss the encyclical letter Laudato Si’ with Pope Francis. The screening was enhanced by displays of students’ work, coordinated by the school Chaplain and Assistant Vice Principal, Andrew Gardner. A post-screening discussion showed the impact the film had on the audience, with many reflecting on the changes they could make to help protect the environment and support those in need.

The film is available on Youtube and can be accessed on a dedicated website where further information can be found.
