A Prayer for our Muslim brothers and sisters from the Interreligious Relations Team for Ramadan; evening of Friday 28 February – Sunday 30 March 2025.
As our Muslim brothers and sisters embark on the start of the Holy Season of Ramadan, we the members of the Interreligious Relations Team, unite our hearts in prayer as we ask for God’s blessings during this holy month of fasting, reflection and devotion.
May this time of spiritual renewal bring them closer to God. We pray for their strength and perseverance as they abstain from worldly pleasures and focus on the purification of their souls.
May this holy season grant them the wisdom and understanding to draw deeper into their faith. May their acts of charity and kindness during this month inspire us all to be better stewards of the love of God.
As we, in the Christian faith embark on our holy season of Lent from Wednesday 5 March, we pray for peace, unity and understanding between faiths. May we journey through our respective holy seasons in mutual respect, understanding and love as we recognise what we hold in common.
May we find comfort in our prayers, and may our faiths be a beacon of hope and light in our troubled world.
We offer our prayers in the spirit of love and solidarity to the God we both hold dear.
