St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School

The community came together when a Newcastle school took part in a festive fundraiser. Staff and children arrived at St Catherine’s Catholic Primary in Sandyford dressed in a wide array of colourful and sparkling knitwear for Christmas Jumper Day, hoping to raise more than £100 for Save the Children’s annual appeal.

There were three events in one when a Newcastle primary school held a Family Fun Day to celebrate the season. First the pupils at St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School took part in their annual Sports Day, before joining friends and family on the school field for a picnic, and later enjoying the school’s annual Summer Fayre.

Budding artists from a Newcastle school were celebrating after their work was highly commended in a regional competition.
