Talented tennis players from a South Shields school are the new District Y3 Mini Tennis champions and runners-up.

A South Shields school basketball team has won a South Tyneside competition for the third year running. Pupils at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, which is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust, were crowned South Tyneside Basketball Champions 2023 at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle.

Athletics stars at a South Shields primary school have won a South Tyneside competition. Pupils from Years 3 and 4 of St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, which is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust, were crowned the Y3/4 South Tyneside Athletics Champions 2023 at the District Athletics Championships held at Monkton Stadium.
