St Alban’s Catholic Primary School

A classroom topic was brought vividly to life for a group of schoolchildren from Walker, when they enjoyed a visit to the Great North Museum, Hancock. The Year 4 pupils from St Alban's Catholic Primary School had been studying Ancient Egypt in class, and were able to gain some hands-on experience of the subject during their time at the museum.

A gold-medal winning athletics champion inspired pupils in Ashington when she paid a visit to their school. Sprinter Joy Eze is from Walker and returned to home territory when she joined the children at St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School in Ashington, where she was also reunited with a familiar face from the past.

St Alban’s wins Newcastle City Championship, the boys’ under-9 team from St Alban’s Catholic Primary School triumphed in the final at Walker Riverside Academy, beating Knop Law Primary 2-0 to take the trophy.
