The Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme (LPWGS) has closed and been replaced by the new Places of Worship Renewal Fund (PWRF) launched on 20th May 2026.
This new fund targets capital works only and does not include VAT rebates on maintenance or small repair expenditure.
The PWRF has two initial Expression of Interest (EOI) windows, with the first deadline on 14th June 2026 and a second window later in the year.

Parishes with listed church buildings are actively encouraged to review the guidance and contact the Diocesan Fundraising Manager directly to ensure they have the correct documentation in place prior to submission.
