Jubilees Around the World
“At the start of the Jubilee Year my Mum and I visited the Jubilee doors in the churches within our diocese.
“We were most touched by our visit to Hartlepool which was at [a time when we were praying for my brother’s health].
“My first photograph shows my Mum praying at the lovely side chapel in St Joseph’s Holy Family Parish at Hartlepool.
“In June we visited Shanghai and were delighted to celebrate the Jubilee there too – We visited five of the six special pilgrimage churches.
“In November we were part of a group of Passionist Companions from Minsteracres fortunate enough to make a pilgrimage to Rome in this very special year.
“At this point, [we continued to give thanks for my brother’s health] one day at a time.
“We visited many churches whilst we were in Rome and went through many holy doors, but I enclose a photograph of the welcome sign at Rome Airport for all those on pilgrimage in this Jubilee Year.”
