The talk introduces the forthcoming visitation of the Relics of Carlo Acutis to the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle in March and will be the final one prior to his canonisation on 27 April 2025.
Born on May 3, 1991, in London, Carlo moved to Milan with his family shortly after his birth. Despite his parents not being particularly religious, Carlo developed a deep devotion to the Eucharist from a young age. His love for the Blessed Sacrament became the cornerstone of his life, leading him to attend Mass daily and inspire those around him.
Carlo was not only a devout Catholic but also a tech-savvy youth. He used his computer skills to document Eucharistic miracles and create a website to share these wonders with the world. His work bridged the gap between faith and technology, making spiritual content accessible to a broader audience.
Tragically, Carlo’s life was cut short when he passed away from leukemia on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. However, his legacy lives on. Carlo was beatified by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, and is on the path to becoming the first millennial saint.
