It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Fr Michael McKenna who died on Monday 17 July 2023, aged 87.
Please pray for the repose of Fr McKenna’s soul.
Fr Michael’s body will be received into the chapel at St Joseph’s Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, Newcastle on Thursday 24 August 2023 at 5.00pm and Mass will be celebrated.
Bishop Stephen will celebrate his Requiem Mass at 12.05pm on Friday 25 August at St Mary’s Cathedral.

Fr Michael McKenna, born 12 June 1936, died on Monday 17 July 2023; he was 87 years of age.
Fr Michael was ordained to the priesthood on 16 June 1962 and has faithfully served the people of our Diocese in the following parishes:
