Tyne and Wear Citizens are running a 2-day introductory training aiming to equip individuals to help them lead community organising in their institutions. The training will cover all essential aspects of the curriculum for community organising.

Date: Saturdays, 18 and 25 November 2023
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm.

The training will include:

  • Listening: Why and how to communicate self-interest, do 1-2-1s, listen for issues affecting people in your institution.
  • Issues: How to present issues and work with others to prioritise issues in a broad-based organization.
  • Research: How to research common issues, analyse power and plan SMART campaign goals.
  • Action: How to understand different cultures and organise a public action.
  • Negotiation: How to generate turnout and negotiate with power holders.
  • Evaluation: How to evaluate, celebrate, reflect on power and leadership, develop a habit of action.

Attendance is free. Light refreshments provided. Let us know if you:
