Do you identify as LGBT+ or are you questioning your sexual or gender identity? Would you like to attend a support group run by and for LGBT+ Catholics in the North East? Proud Catholics meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at St Andrew’s RC Church, Worswick Street.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 15 November at 7.30pm (BST). We will meet Gaël Pardoën and Dr Clare Watkins to take part in their research project “Living Catholicism in Queer Spaces“. The aim is to listen to and give a voice to LGBTQI+ Catholics, to learn what it means to us and for us to live the Catholic life, what nurtures our faith and Catholic identity and how those, in turn, nurture the rest of our life. The meeting will be followed by social time and bring-and-share refreshments. It will be possible to connect through Zoom, just get in touch for the link if interested.
