Burning fossil fuels is burning our common home – yet the UK government is still permitting fossil fuel companies to dig for more coal, oil and gas.
We need to stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in communities around the world being hit hardest by the climate crisis and demand the government stops supporting the very fossil fuels that are causing that crisis.
Join CAFOD from 11.15am on Friday 21 April 2023 at St John’s Church, Waterloo, London, where they will be joining friends from Christian Aid and other Christian groups to pray for leaders to take the action we need to tackle the climate emergency and declare we have no faith in fossil fuels.
They will then walk together on a short pilgrimage to Parliament. When we reach Westminster, we can join thousands of other people calling for fossil fuels to be consigned to history. Activities around Parliament are being organised by Extinction Rebellion as part of ‘The Big One‘ – a huge moment where people from across the country will come to Westminster to peacefully and lawfully demand action to end the climate crisis.
CAFOD welcome registrations to attend their event and you can do so by clicking on the button opposite.
