The help provided by these ministers in distributing Communion in Church and taking the Blessed Sacrament to the Sick is of great importance in the life our parishes. The time of lockdown has meant that some are no longer able to carry out this ministry.
Parish priests are invited to indicate if they would like to send participants to the programme.
For this ministry Diocesan Safeguarding procedures may be applicable.
The programme consists of two sessions:
Venue: St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Gateshead, NE8 1LX
Session 1: Wednesday 4th May (Evening session) 7.00 – 9.00pm
Session 2: Saturday 7th May (Day session) 10.30am – 3.45pm*
*Participants to bring their own packed lunch for the day event – tea and coffee provided
NB: The Saturday session ends with a Mass of Commissioning at 3.00pm
Cost: £15 per participant
