Amongst recent saints Edith Stein (St Teresia Benedicta a Cruce) remains one of the most elusive and difficult for the English speaking world. A feminist, Jew, philosopher, psychologist, Carmelite nun and martyr, it is difficult to put her into one ‘box’.
Yet, as we shall discover during our day together, she has profound lessons for the present day dialogue between philosophy, psychology and spirituality. We shall be looking at her life and works throughout the day through meditation, discussion and prayer. No prior knowledge is required. Starts at 10.00am and ends at 4.00pm. Please bring a packed lunch.
