The talk by Angela Wills, who was born in Middlesbrough but has lived in Reading for the last 54 years. She is the mother of five adult children and sixteen grandchildren. She spent ten years in the Pastoral Formation team of Portsmouth Diocese and now works with their Spirituality Formation Team as a Spiritual Director. The talk is taking place on Wednesday 29 November 2023 at 7.45pm (tea and coffee from 7.30pm) in St Mary’s Cathedral Hall, Middlesbrough.

Dorothy Day was an American journalist, social activist and anarchist who, after a bohemian youth, became a Catholic without abandoning her social and anarchist activism. She was perhaps the best-known political radical among American Catholics. Pope Francis said: “Her social activism, her passion for justice and for the cause of the oppressed, were inspired by the Gospel, her faith, and the example of the saints.
