Join the Centre for Catholic Studies for this year’s Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture with guest speakers, His Eminence Cardinal Mario Grech and Sister Nathalie Becquart XMCJ. taking place on Wednesday 21 June from 7.00pm at Elvet Riverside, Lecture Theatre ER201, 83 New Elvet, Durham DH1 3AQ.

His Eminence Cardinal Mario Grech (Secretary General of the Office of the Synod of Bishops) will speak onCommon Obedience to the Spirit of Christ: Synodality, Collegiality, and Apostolicity, as a means of exploring ‘how the notion of synodality opens up new theological perspectives from which bishops can understand their role in the church in a more empowering and encouraging way’.

Sister Nathalie Becquart XMCJ (Undersecretary of the Office of the Synod of Bishops) will speak on Why Ecumenism and Synodality Go Hand-in-Hand’ In anticipation of the symposium on Synodality and Receptive Ecumenism that will follow on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd June.
