Year 11 students from St Michael’s Catholic Academy, Billingham were involved in a unique sporting occasion, as residents from care homes proved that age was just a number when they tackled a range of sporting events. The pilot event was organised by Tees Active, where pupils from St Michael’s led sporting activities to care home residents.

Tees Active’s marketing team streamed the event live into care homes, so residents who were not attending the event could cheer on their fellow residents.

St Michael’s Catholic Academy is a member of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust.
