This week, Bishop Stephen met with the overseas priests in our Diocese, the first of what is to become a much valued annual meeting.
Gathered together at St Matthew’s in Jarrow, it was an opportunity for the clergy to come together, provide mutual support and talk about their ministry.
Our Vicars General, Fr Jeff Dodds and Fr Mark Millward were also in attendance to hear of the challenges and also the opportunities across our Diocese and Vice-Chancellor Paula Henley provided visa and immigration advice.
Bishop Stephen said; “I am most grateful for the ongoing ministry of our overseas priests, the pastoral role they provide in the communities they serve and the impact they have across our entire Diocese.”
