St Aidan’s, with sister church St Mary’s, enjoyed a blessed pilgrimage to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne this summer.
The weather was good – the company equally good and faithful.
Those braving the Pilgrims Way enjoyed the challenges of walking through the mud and knee-deep water while reflecting on the meaning of the Jubilee Year.
Others enjoyed their time at ‘another St Aidan’s’ on the Island – thank you to Sr Tess and her team for the welcome refreshments!
We celebrated Mass where the prayers said, the poetry of the region shared, and the homily of local history by Fr Sean greatly enhanced our day.
Thanks everyone. God bless!
