It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Fr Patrick (Paddy) McMahon who died peacefully in hospital on Wednesday 1 February 2023, aged 82.
Please pray for the repose of Fr McMahon’s soul.
Fr Patrick’s body will be received into St Teresa’s, Heaton at 6.00pm on Wednesday 1 March and Mass will be celebrated. His Requiem Mass will be at St Teresa’s on Thursday 2 March at 12.45pm followed by Interment at Benton Cemetery.

Fr Patrick (Paddy) McMahon was born 26 November 1940, died on 1 February 2023; he was 82 years of age.
Fr Patrick was ordained to the priesthood on 4 June 1966 and has faithfully served the people of our Diocese in the following parishes:
