Fr Marc shares this reflection:-
“I’ve just finished reading Pope Leo XIV’s new encyclical Magnifica Humanitas.
For me, it is a powerful reminder that, even in an age of artificial intelligence and rapid technological change, the human person must always remain at the centre.
The Pope calls us to protect human dignity, defend truth, honour the dignity of work and ensure that technology serves the common good rather than profit or power alone.
This is not a message of fear about the future – it is a message of hope.
As Christians, we believe every person is created in the image and likeness of God, with a value no machine can ever replace.
In a world increasingly shaped by algorithms, Pope Leo reminds us that compassion, conscience, solidarity and love are what truly make us human.
A timely and deeply important encyclical for our world today.”
