“Women at the Periphery taking Centre Stage” is the title of a forthcoming conference of Catholic women at Ushaw from Friday 25 November to Sunday 27 November 2022.

Its aim is a weekend of women walking together on the synodal path and the organisers describe it as “an invitation to Catholic women to connect, support and share knowledge with one another.”

They add: “As the Catholic Church embraces a more synodal way of working we would love to have you join us so we can learn from one another.”

Speakers include:

Dr Pat Jones of the Centre for Catholic Studies at Durham University

Karen Kilby, Bede Chair of Theology at Durham University

Sr Maria Kolby, from the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops

There is no cost for the event but contributions will be gratefully appreciated.
