The family of Deacon Peter Lavery have asked us to share the following information following his death last week.
Funeral arrangements for Rev. Deacon Peter Lavery.
Reception of Peter’s body will take place at St Joseph’s RC church, Birtley at 6.15pm on Tuesday 15 October. Bishop Stephen will be the principal celebrant at his Requiem Mass will take place at 10.30am on Wednesday 16 October, also at St Joseph’s.
After mass, tea & coffee will be available at St Joseph’s Parish Centre & Catholic Club from 11.30am
All are welcome.
NB. A private committal service at Birtley crematorium is for family only.
Family flowers only please. There will be collections at church where donations are encouraged to support St Joseph’s Parish Fund and Macmillan Nurses.
Those attending are encouraged not to wear black, should they feel comfortable.
