St Bede’s Catholic Primary School

Whitley Bay Playhouse saw more than 200 young performers take to the stage for a musical celebration of the partnership of their schools. Organised by St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy in Bedlington, the Partnership Celebration Performance brought together around 220 dancers, singers and musicians from the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust’s member schools.

Budding Billy Elliotts got a chance to show off their skills when they performed at Dance City in Newcastle, thanks to an initiative run by The Royal Ballet. The children from St Bede’s Catholic Primary School in Bedlington were participating in the Chance to Dance programme, which introduces ballet to young people across the country.

Green-fingered youngsters at a Bedlington primary have helped to create a new garden space in the school grounds. The Reflection Garden at St Bede’s was developed by the father of two of the school’s pupils, with areas allocated to each year group to plant and maintain. It’s also a permanent memorial to a much-loved member of the school family.
