Caring children at a primary school in Denton have raised more than £1,500 to help premature and sick newborn babies and their families in the North East.

Pupils and families feel welcome and valued at a Newcastle primary school which is ambitious for its children, says a recent Ofsted report. St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, Denton Burn, has been rated ‘good’ across the board in the report published recently (10 May).

Less than a year into a project aimed at helping young scientists move from primary to secondary schools and it has already been hailed a success.
