We, as the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and the Youth Ministry Trust, are excited to inform you about the upcoming relaunch of the Diocesan Youth Council, a pivotal platform for young voices within our Diocese that was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This council is not just a forum for dialogue but a space for developing leadership and interpersonal skills.
We are reaching out to schools, parishes, and universities to help us recruit driven and enthusiastic students from Year 9 and above who are eager to actively shape the future of our Church. The initial meeting is set for Sunday 18 May 2025 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Newcastle, from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm, where we will introduce the council’s new vision and discuss its role within our synodal Church.
